Max Payne actor James Mccaffrey dies of myeloma at 65
James McCaffrey, who voiced Max Payne in the popular video game franchise and also starred in television shows including Rescue Me, passed away. James McCaffrey died due to cancer. He was suffering from a rare type of cancer that affects the bone marrow called multiple myeloma. McCaffrey had a 35-year career in television and film that also included roles in the television shows Blue Bloods and Suits. McCaffrey also famously voiced Max Payne, the former NYPD officer who becomes a vigilante after his family is killed, in the video game series of the same name during the early 2000s.
Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi’ singer Anup Ghoshal passes away
Bengali singer Anup Ghoshal, who is mostly known for the ‘Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi’ number from the 1983 film ‘Masoom’ and immortalised the songs in several Satyajit Ray’s musicals passed away. Ghoshal was 77. A prolific singer, Ghosal proved his versatility in the songs of Kaji Nazrul Islam, Rabindranath Tagore and modern Bengali songs. As a playback singer, he had been associated with Ray’s ‘Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne’ and ‘Hirak Rajar Deshe’. Dapart from Bengali and Hindi films, he also sang in many other Indian language films like Assamese and Bhojpuri.

Legendary Kannada film actress Leelavathi passed away at age 85 near Bengaluru’s Nelamangala area.The late actor worked over the span of 50 years in more than 600 movies across south Indian languages Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. She is the recipient of Dr. Rajkumar Life time Award given by the state Government and the Filmfare Award for the best supporting actress for her Kannada film Kannadada Kanda in 2006.

Noted Gujarati photo journalist Zaverilal Mehta passed away in Ahmedabad. He was 97. Mehta was conferred with Padma Shri award in the field of literature and education-journalism in 2018. Hailing from Halvad in Surendranagar district of Saurashtra, Zaverilal worked with Gujarat Samachar as lead photo journalist since 1970s. He was deputed in the national capital New Delhi as a photo journalist. He was popular for documenting the life and times of 13 Chief Ministers of Gujarat state, and his lenses captured incidents such as the 2001 earthquake and the 1998 Kutch cyclone.

Terry Venables, the former manager of England’s national soccer team and Tottenham Hotspur, has died aged 80 after an illness. Venables managed England from 1994 to 1996, most notably leading them to the semi-finals of Euro 96 on home soil. A former England player, he also managed Barcelona and Tottenham. Venables won La Liga and reached the European Cup final with Barcelona, and lifted the FA Cup with Tottenham. As a player, he won two England caps and made more than 500 club appearances between 1960 and 1975, largely for Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham. Midfielder Venables joined Chelsea in 1958 as a 15- year-old and made his debut against West Ham in 1960.
